Bigwinboard is built on the principles of fairness and transparency, which is why it is with a heavy heart that we announce the final voting stage for the much-anticipated Game of the Year 2024 and Provider of the Year 2024 categories has been disrupted by extensive bot interference.
Initially, we selected Strawpoll as our voting platform, trusting it to be a secure and trustworthy venue for our community's input. Unfortunately, it became evident that the platform was vulnerable to bot-driven manipulation. With an overwhelming number of fake votes pouring in and suspicions of similar fraudulent activities during the YouTube group stages, we could no longer continue with this platform. As a result, we have decided to completely terminate voting on Strawpoll.
To preserve a just and unbiased voting result, we are transferring the voting process to Bigwinboard itself. Here, we can guarantee the authenticity of every single vote, since members will vote directly on our site, allowing us to thoroughly verify each one.
We sincerely regret any trouble this decision might cause for our community and the industry at large. However, safeguarding the fairness and trustworthiness of the awards is our top priority.
