Greetings folks! My innate passion for creativity compels me to start a fresh series of design threads focused on slot games 🙂
This series will stand out by having a strong emphasis on visuals, where I plan to unveil exciting elements. Updates will come as inspiration strikes, so expect both regular and irregular intervals.
We'll explore visual concepts, the creative journey, exclusive insights, and more 🙂 I truly believe combining film visual effects with slot games can offer an unmatched level of excitement and enjoyment.

Thinking of a game as more than just a product, it can be significantly enhanced instead of just another creation. High-quality productions particularly deserve extensive attention.
From inception to completion, I've outlined a quick three-step approach for game development, aiming to uplift the straightforward 'click and spin' mechanic to uncharted levels where no one else quite dares.
It's both amusing and disheartening that there isn’t a broader recognition of what such a game merits, not only as an entertainment product but also considering the teams behind it 🙂 Improving in this area will surely offer new insights!

The concept is intriguing indeed; games can transcend beyond mere 'click and spin' dynamics. Integrating compelling visuals and a creative design approach significantly elevates the gaming experience. Additionally, emphasizing the creators involved adds depth and individuality to the game. I'm excited about seeing what other amazing ideas will come forth!

Hi @degerardo99, I thoroughly enjoyed your articles. They brilliantly showcase expertise and creativity. I have a curiosity-driven question for you.

What human resources, equipment (like servers and technical devices), and licensing costs are typically required to launch a slot game ready for release?

Thanks

@goodman Thank you, mate! Your appreciation means a lot to me! 🙂
To answer your question... it's a bit complex. Not because I'm clueless, I have an estimate, but multiple factors play a role, especially pertaining to quality. A simple game might require only a few individuals, however, a complex or high-production game might necessitate up to 20? This includes everything, from ideation, to testing, finalizing art, animations, soundtracks, effects, trailers, promotions, engaging with partners, affiliates, and casinos. More insights will come as we progress.
One big advantage I possess is the ability to oversee multiple roles in entertainment and conceptual ideas, mockups, art, VFX, trailers, preparing a reference layout where the product's envisioned appearance, functionality, and feel can be pre-assessed and tweaked before the official start. It's rare to see someone going this far in preproduction 🙂
Once we wrap up our first game, I'll be sure to share more specifics. Every studio's approach can be vastly different.

Here's a creative trick I'd like to share. When I need to check color values, I convert everything to grayscale, reviewing the black-and-white ranges to ensure there's no flattening. This method allows room for further adjustments 🙂 While it's not for everyone, art enthusiasts might find it insightful and helpful 🙂
PS: Yes, it's in progress from Sanatorium 2x2 Wild that follows Miss Martha in chains.

Big thanks @degerardo99, turns out the requirements for slot games, similar to video games, vary significantly based on the project's scale.

Just last week, inspired by listening to Ennio Morricone, a Wild West theme popped into my head.
So far, I've only worked on one Wild West-themed game mockup. But I'm contemplating elevating it to a 'Wild Dead West' theme!
- complete with innovative DEAD wild reels (featuring female cowboys).
When you manage a Double MECHANIC SUPER Bonus hit in one spin - that's hitting two bonuses concurrently! Absolutely achievable with the TORN REEL ! 🙂boys) mechanics symbols 😉

I'm surprised no one has introduced this before. Mark the date of the first reveal: 28/11/2024! This is among the prominent features we plan for our games 🙂
@degerardo99 It's a fantastic idea and indeed surprising that it hasn't been explored before.

I can't wait to see what other innovative and creative ideas you come up with! 🔥
Given that many participants here are from Stockholm, Sweden, I've created movie posters for 'Tomorrow War' in the past.

Gonna share a little fun in here! 🙂
Amazon commissioned me to photograph actual landmark angles, later altering them to resemble an impacted state, for use in bus stop billboards. The alignment enables viewers to compare the poster’s altered view to the real, seamless background. This project involved 12 images, some featuring landmarks from Finland, too.
