What are your thoughts on witnessing two spins that are exactly the same occurring one after the other?

Indeed, occurrences like these happen across various game providers and during different gaming titles.

Beef Lightning by BTG

Remeber Gulag by NLC

True randomness might appear in sets of 100 to 300 spins, giving you interesting patterns to observe.

Considering the increasing complexity of modern games, it's understandably challenging to employ genuine random number generators. Creating a new game every couple of weeks necessitates finding alternatives, and as long as the sample size is large enough, players may not even notice.

A quick tip for identifying a slot using a Pseudo Random Number Generator (PRNG) is to check if the return-to-player (RTP) percentage is a round figure, common among some providers like ELK.

@donrehab While PRNGs are generally acceptable, I'm not a fan of rounds that follow preset scripts.

I've observed something interesting in the 'Remember Gulag' game: occasionally, the first reel gets blocked purposely to ensure a losing spin, either with three identical symbols or a combination of symbols designed to produce a similar effect.

During my gameplay, I've frequently encountered spins that I term 'technically identical,' offering similar payouts despite some minor differences in symbols and their arrangements on the reels.

At one point, ELK produced two immediate rounds that mirrored each other in their outcomes right away for me.

Regardless of whether true PNG or PRNG is used, it's not the spun results that determine the payout; rather, the payouts dictate the kind of results displayed on your screen, testing the talent of developers in making the process visually exciting.

If you're not into exciting visuals or prefer a straightforward gaming experience, action spins from NLC can be a great gambling choice.

@briancmc You're absolutely right! The slots are designed to pay a set amount to players, and everything else, like reels, symbols, and features are tailored to match that predetermined outcome. While it's partially random, claiming everything is left solely to chance is quite misleading. Although some may be oblivious to this, many experienced players are aware.
Consider Beel Lightning and Gulag, for instance. There's more going on beneath the surface with titles from both BTG and NLC. I've shared my insights, but further details might paint me as a disgruntled player critical of them. Although a Gulag representative stated that outcomes are entirely random, the cycles and combinations occurring every 200–300 spins seem to suggest otherwise. They conceal this truth rather than admitting it outright, despite clear evidence.
I mean..why? Ahahah

@degerardo99 While it might not be entirely inaccurate to state randomness in slot games, the precise nature of the randomness—whether it lies in payout or reel combination—isn't revealed. It's left ambiguous deliberately for players to interpret as they wish, which is not outright dishonesty.

In cases of similar results, the problem could lie with the math model and visuals, reducing these slots akin to a classic three-reel layout, rather than adding the depth expected of a complex slot game.

@briancmc Precisely! As I tried to articulate earlier, it's all somewhat enigmatic, isn't it? Not everything is random. Some elements are predetermined, and others genuinely random. This is what I meant by my previous short explanation.

Games are designed with historical context and thematically planned wins, elements, etc., to align them with simulations showing features, wins frequency, and more, making it challenging to consider results entirely random.

Imagine it as drawing a number from a hat, with the slot presenting what's needed to achieve that outcome.

Take Jamming Jars for example: it displays a win of 321 euros, and the game's elements will execute various sequences to ensure this outcome is achieved.

Like BP Gaming and Red Tiger, some games allocate winnings before bonus rounds even conclude. For instance, in Red Tiger games, your balance updates post-entry into a bonus round, predicting whether it was favorable or not.

Blue Print Gaming, same concept.

I wish Quick Spin would adopt this approach to avoid unnecessarily long bonus rounds, after which you discover a small win instead of experiencing an 'EPIC' win display. My comment refers to older games often exhibiting this.

My perspective is that while the individual spins appear random, the result of bonus rounds seems predetermined even before it concludes!

Unfortunately, main games and their bonus rounds can often feel indistinguishable from one another. Recalling the 'Chaos' from Shaolin Panda Chaos Reels, your credits refresh instantly once you engage in any spin or purchase.

@briancmc Picture this: purchasing a bonus within the Shaolin Chaos game and leaving mid-play just to see if you've hit the jackpot.

Some casinos accidentally or deliberately misconfigure slots, so you see your win/loss balance during gameplay, revealing your potential big win even before it happens, thus nullifying scatter symbols' effect.

I've played 'Animal Madness' from Play'n GO extensively, and its repeated patterns soon become predictable. It's nearly impossible to hit the top pay symbol or achieve the 2000x result.
