Do those behind UKGC realize they're being counterproductive by stopping demo play access for UK visitors? Aren't they aware this drives users to less secure sites that accept UK players and provide this feature?
It's mind-bogglingly illogical. The UKGC seems to be setting records in irrational regulations, and this one is particularly egregious.
Regulatory approaches in Spain and the UK are something else entirely, leading to lots of frustration.
Excessive regulation can backfire, pushing people towards unregulated gambling markets. Prohibiting demo play is one of the stranger regulations.
It's confusing because demo play involves no real money. UK slots are suffering, and restrictions like removing auto-spin make little sense.
@serious-sam The situation is absurd because I personally enjoy trying out game demos.
That's why I prefer playing demos here since I can't stand those restrictions.

Agree
I come here to explore new games through their demo versions.
Gambling regulations in the UK have made things challenging, except for certain game features like bonus buys. However, Slingo games appear to be an exception.
It would be great if all users were offered demo play options.
Perhaps the UKGC has some rationale behind this rule, whatever that might entail.
